Before / After

The room was always the draw. Now the site shows it.

PlayLive already had the venue, the photography and a live tournament feed — the rebuild put all three on pages Google can read. Hover either screen to scroll that page end to end.

The homepage

Before
The previous PlayLive Melbourne homepage — "Play Smart. Play Hard. PlayLive." over seven day-of-the-week cards
Seven nights, seven photographs — the week at a glance.
After
The new PlayLive Melbourne homepage — tonight's featured event over live footage of the room
Now tonight's card, the winners and the series sit under it.

Live events

Before
The previous PlayLive Live Events page — the CasinoWare tournament board
CasinoWare was already publishing the live board.
After
The new PlayLive events page — the full week of tournaments, each linking to its own page
Now it's a page of the site, and every event has its own.

What We Built

Six things, one platform.

🎰

Live CasinoWare Sync

Clocks, blinds, entries and prize pools, straight off the desk.

🔗

A Page Per Tournament

Every event linkable and indexable, with nobody retyping it.

🏆

Results That Stay

Last night's winners published, and the champions wall kept.

🛒

Merch Shop + Stripe

Sizes, stock and card checkout, delivered or picked up at the desk.

📣

One Post, Both Feeds

Write once, preview in both, schedule to Facebook and Instagram.

🎛️

A Desk-Side Dashboard

Thirteen panels — the room runs the site without a developer.

Inside the Build

Screens from the shipped site.

Behind the Login

PlayLive runs the whole thing themselves.

One dashboard for the schedule, the results, the shop — and the composer that posts to both social feeds.

Built for the Phone

Reads as well at 375 pixels.

Most players check tonight’s card on a phone, on the way in.

  • Every page server-rendered, so Google reads the schedule
  • CasinoWare feed received by an edge function, cycled every ten minutes
  • A page per tournament — clock, blinds, structure and payouts
  • Stripe checkout with Apple Pay, delivered or collected at the desk
  • Facebook and Instagram published from a single composer
  • Redirects carrying every old URL, Google sitelinks included
  • Self-hosted type, no page builder, no theme

Hospitality Websites

Hospitality website design, built around what’s on tonight.

A venue website answers one question before any other: what is on, and when. Get that wrong and the room answers it by phone all week — or leaves it to a social platform that decides who sees the post.

PlayLive Melbourne runs tournaments seven nights a week, so their site reads CasinoWare — the tournament software at their own desk — and publishes the schedule, the results and the season board on its own pages. The same hospitality website design works for a pub calendar, a live-music room or a members’ club.

Running a venue? We’ll design your homepage free — no obligation.
