What the audit checks
Type your web address, or your business name and we’ll find the site from your Google listing. The scan opens your homepage on a phone, the way most of your customers see it, and scores four things out of 100.
Speed on a phone
How long your homepage takes to load over 4G, timed by Google’s Lighthouse. Also how much smaller your images could be and how many outside services load with the page.
SEO
What Google reads before it ranks you: your page title and description, whether it’s allowed to index the page, image alt text and links it can follow. You get Google’s SEO score out of 100 and the checks that failed.
Easy to use
Google’s accessibility checks: text that stands out from its background, buttons big enough to tap, and labels a screen reader can announce.
Design
A review of your homepage as it looks on a phone: layout, spacing, readability and how clear the main button is. Anything visibly broken gets flagged.
- Free, no sign-up. Your score is on screen in about a minute.
- Works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify and custom-coded sites.
- Speed, SEO and ease of use are Google’s own Lighthouse scores.
How the score is worked out
Design counts for 65% of the overall score. Speed, SEO and ease of use share the other 35%.
That’s on purpose. Most website platforms pass Google’s technical checks without trying, so a dated site can score 90 for speed and still lose a customer the moment it opens. The design is what people judge you on.
If the layout is visibly broken on a phone, like buttons overlapping or a menu icon floating mid-page, the design score is capped at 35 and the overall score can’t sit more than 10 points above it.
What to do with your score
The ring around your score turns red, amber or green on the same three bands.
Needs work
At this point a rebuild is worth pricing next to a repair. We’ll design you a new homepage free, so you can compare before you spend anything.

The basics work, but something is costing you. Usually it’s heavy images or a design that looks a few years old, and targeted fixes are often enough.
See website maintenanceIn good shape
Fix the few things flagged, keep it updated, and put your effort into content and Google reviews. That’s what moves a sound site up the results.
